Compact Computer Case Design for Mini-ITX Motherboard This design creates a minimalist, space-efficient computer case tailored to Asus H81T mini-ITX motherboards. However, it should also accommodate most other similar boards with the use of an external power supply or compact power unit - although the built-in socket on Asus H81T works well even with many Dell laptop chargers without needing modification. Thorough ventilation means no case fan is required. Running with Intel's stock CPU fan set to silent mode, while pushing a loaded 3.2Ghz processor doesn't generate much noise at all and keeps temperatures under 40°C (on load) and around 30°C when idle. The case includes two mounting points for standard 2.5" drives - whether solid state or hard disk. For extra security, users can secure their drive(s) with a small amount of hot glue or double-sided tape, especially if they plan to transport the device regularly. Its holes fit all mini-ITX motherboards precisely without the need for precise adjustments thanks to its standard mounting design. It is crucial, however, that one checks the specific needs of their motherboard since this does allow for some variability - you may want to tap or drill these points to ensure they are tight enough given your settings and screws. To prevent potential short circuits from nearby drive mounts on lower-tier boards, or those users planning to adhere them securely with hot glue, it is wise to create a little clearance area under the disk(s) or simply slice down part of the mount by a few mm if desired - ensuring this will avoid causing shorts due to insulation gaps. This computer case comes equipped with one centrally located small opening on top near the processor for future airflow needs like Intel's Snowflake. Various processors have been successfully installed, though primarily only two Intel models (Pentium and i5) are tested in this design which might work as-is or at most need height adjustments. This also provides clearance for adding additional power sources such as an inline fuse for more security. An existing PC switch was incorporated for resetting power that should easily salvage from many old devices, and situated discreetly by the case's rear right edge to prevent snagging or obstructions while maintaining full accessibility at a critical moment. LED Lighting: This minimalist housing does contain room to fasten and drill your chosen power LED lighting right at the front, though ensure proper hole sizing to maintain structural stability by simply making sure not too deep so they could end up cracking due over-tightening; add in securing fasteners if you feel necessary. This LED space won't impact its functionality but should rather serve only for aesthetic enhancement. Lid Opening Mechanics: Unlike certain enclosure models on the market that feature automatic or self locking mechanisms for opening lids securely during transportation, our model operates by simply lifting off - which makes cleaning or changing interior components very accessible via easily sliding up using internal guide rails from a flat direction and does not necessarily incorporate mechanical locking to hold it firmly place unless desired (then tape down appropriately around edges), which isn't difficult either given some users who would actually wish so. If any small gaps remain, feel free use of your preferred adhesives or wrap-up guides rail if a snugger opening fits is preferred overall ease and functionality over appearance for this design’s case lid. Additional Notes: My Design in Action For best visual results, simply print these computer components using the materials (such as PLA plastic sheets commonly found) then proceed sanding smooth followed by coating all of your hard plastics with clear layer of acrylic coat after printing before display use if you prefer - no further setup is actually necessary.
