Minimalistic, compact and fully equipped computer case designed specifically for mini-ITX motherboards, such as Asus H81T, but compatible with many others when using an external power brick or compact PSU - Asus H81T has a built-in power socket that works fine with most Dell laptop chargers without modification. Thoroughly ventilated - no case fan needed. With the Intel stock CPU fan running in silent mode at 3.2Ghz and full load, the computer remains almost dead silent, and the CPU temperature rarely exceeds 40°C - idle temperature is around 30°C. Two slots are provided for 2.5" drives (SSD or HDD). For extra safety, you can add a dab of hot glue or double-sided tape under the drive(s) to secure them if you plan to move the computer frequently. Standardized motherboard mounting holes fit all mini-ITX boards. Depending on your print settings and screws used, you might want to tap or drill up the mounting holes slightly. A big safety margin is present between the disks and motherboard, allowing for an isolation layer to avoid shorts or fastening disk(s) with hot glue; in this case, you can file/cut the mounts down several mm to lower the entire motherboard. A snowflake hole is centered directly on top of the CPU fan. Intel Core i5 and Pentium stock coolers have been tested and fit height-wise, possibly others as well. A standard PC power or reset switch socket has been included, which can be salvaged from almost any computer and placed near the right rear corner - mostly out of sight, yet easy to reach. A minimal hole is provided for a power LED in front; drill this up from the inside if too small when printed. Fasten the LED with hot glue if needed. The top part slides on from above using guide rails. However, there is no locking mechanism, so grabbing hold of the bottom part is recommended if you want to move the computer around. On the other hand, it's very easy to remove the top for troubleshooting and upgrading hardware. If a tighter fit for the guide rails is desired, wrap some tape around them; even double-sided should work.
