Frostpunk: The Board Game - Insert
thingiverse
This is a set of removable inserts for Frostpunk: The Board Game. It is designed to fit the upgraded Resources expanion, the Dreadnought miniature (in the original vaccuum formed insert), and the larger wooden tokens from the Frostlander expansion. The Miniatures expansion remains in its original box. Internal dimensions: 306 x 306 x 138mm. It supports sleeved cards, premium thickness will fit as there's plenty of space in the card trays. Take note of the stacking order, as there is limited space above the trays. I decided to make The cube tower tray out of several parts that will need glueing together with a strong adhesive (evostik or E6000). This creates a skeleton structure that I then glued a sheet of 2mm EVA foam to help protect the Cube Tower miniature itself (although the foam layer is optional). I figured this would be quicker to print and use less filament than a solid insert. If anyone would prefer to have a solid insert, let me know and I'll see what I can do. If you don't have the dreadnought miniature, the space for it is 226 x 85 x 57mm, so you can either print a hollowed out shape or fill the void with a suitably cut block of EVA foam. UPDATE: 12/03/2023 - I've added a printable spacer block for the dreadnought if you don't have the miniature, and don't want to use EVA foam. UPDATE: 19/07/2023 - I've added a split version of the CubeTower base tray for those with smaller print beds (CubeTower_Tray_Base_Split_Part1.stl and CubeTower_Tray_Base_Split_Part2.stl). You will need to add supports to the floating tabs in your slicer. Note, you will need to use a very strong glue or epoxy resin to glue these parts together. Also, I have not printed this myself, so cannot vouch for its rigidity.
