Front rack bottle cage mount bracket
thingiverse
If you're lucky enough to have standard bottle cage mounting points on your fork with a spacing of 64 mm, you might want to consider attaching a front rack between the two. This bracket won't increase load capacity but will ensure that if something breaks, it's likely not going to be the fork. I've got a carbon fork with eyelets, so by using both, I can double the effective shear strength of the bolts and force preference for failure at the bracket-to-front-rack mounting point - one bolt. It'd be cheaper to replace that hardware and the rack than the entire fork, of course, assuming no catastrophic accident involving struts flying into your front wheel spokes. This should be made from sheet metal, not 3D printed. CAD is very straightforward. Change the horizontal and vertical offsets to accommodate different forks - you can just make an offset one and flip it around. Designed for the Racktime Top-It front rack but this should work with others easily. I even made a version for my Axiom Journey DLX lowrider front rack too. Bolt clearance is designed for M5s. The STL is set at a 20 mm horizontal offset, and a 10 mm vertical offset - see the picture.
