Front pin modification of DIY Covid 19 Face Shield Frame
thingiverse
I've been making covid face shield frames for some months, now. The medical testing lab where my wife works have been really happy with them. There is one minor issue, and that is, if you bump into the transparency sheet, it is possible for the front pin to be bumped loose, requiring the the sheet to be reseated. This remix is trivial; I put a very small cone on the front of the front pin, into which the transparency snaps, to hold it more firmly. It's not too large to remove the frame for cleaning, and it has gotten good reviews from the group that wears these things 8-10 hours a day. An additional item: since these frames extend pretty far around the head, it was universally requested that I clip off the loops, as they seem to snag in the wearer's hair.
