I'm using a Lerdge K board instead of the Duet setup in my build, and I've located the SD card reader on the back of the printer rather than on the screen. Unfortunately, sourcing a micro SD card to SD extender that's at least 36 inches long for my specific setup has proven challenging. To address this issue, I purchased an SD card adapter from Amazon that fits the slot, and I've also soldered a ribbon cable to the back of the printer to create a custom cable length. This allows me to print using an SD card connected to the front panel.
