Front Mounted Layer Fan - Tevo Tarantula
thingiverse
**Version 1.0 - Dated: June 29, 2017** This is a front-mounted layer fan designed for the Tevo Tarantula. It's intended for use with my E3D V6 & BLtouch X Axis Carrier for Tarantula Re-Mix. This thing screws directly to the front of the X Axis Carrier Clamp. If you refer to the main image of this Front Mounted Layer Fan, the parts printed in orange belong to the (E3D V6 & BLtouch X Axis Carrier for Tarantula Re-Mix). I've designed the upper fan duct to accept a 4020 DC fan, specifically a 12-volt model running at 6000 RPM. The Alseye 4020 is the fan I used, available on Aliexpress. At full speed, this 6000 RPM fan provides an adequate cooling airflow over the print job. To prevent the fan's airflow from over-cooling the E3Dv6 Hotend, I fitted a Teflon Sock over it. This sock is available in packs of three from E3D-online. The upper fan duct slides over the outside of the lower fan duct. The clearance above the print bed can be adjusted by sliding the lower fan duct into or out of the upper fan duct. Once the correct placement has been established, I glued the upper fan duct to the lower fan duct using Super Glue.
