Front lens cap for Jupiter-11 4/135.

The Jupiter-11 F4 is an incredible lens. Paired with a M42 to Canon-EF adapter, you can use it seamlessly with cutting-edge DSLR or film cameras like the Canon, Blackmagic, or RED. Since camera gear can be prohibitively expensive, I opted to purchase some exceptional Russian lenses on eBay instead. The design of these Soviet-era glasses was influenced by German manufacturer ZEISS after WWII as spoils of war. Consequently, the lens quality is remarkably similar to that of vintage Zeiss optics. Moreover, these lenses are incredibly affordable, typically priced between 30 to 50 Euros. They even look fantastic on a RED camera or Canon DSLR – like a futuristic laser gun! The barrel build-quality is exceptional as well. Although they're often cheap to purchase, not all come complete. Mine arrived without the front cap. In terms of quality, these vintage Jupiter lenses are comparable to modern mid-range glasses like an 85mm F1.8 lens. They even surpass a USM 28-135mm Canon, which costs 300 Euros. To access this fantastic lens, you'll need some patience and practice. Manual focus is required, which can be challenging at first. The adjustment rings are positioned differently compared to modern lenses, so be prepared for a learning curve. Now, let's get down to business: printing settings.
