Front landing gear for a toy SR-71 airplane
youmagine
My child got a metal SR-71 Blackbird Pull-Back toy from the Smithsonian Air and Space gift shop. I've seen the same toy at beach shops and Alibaba since then. Tonight he stepped on it and broke off the front landing gear, so I printed a direct replacement. I printed 2 shells face down with an infill of 8%. The thoroughly commented OpenSCAD files are included if you need to modify them. Holes in the forks are much smaller than the original axle. Use the self-tapping screw that held the original landing gear in place to roughly widen the holes, allowing the axle to firmly stay in place after it's pressed back in.
