Front grip for Canon Powershot G9
thingiverse
I have an old Canon G9 bridge camera I carry with me for random photos in my daily life.I got it years ago and while using it to shoot some stuff it fell on the tripod and broke the lens.I was able to find a replacement lens mechanism and replaced it successfully. With the years the camera still works as normal, but the front rubber grip had long disintegrated. I was able to clean the loose bits from the inside when I repaired it. This grip doesn't seem to be available anywhere after all these years, so I designed a simple replacement in Tinkercad.I used PLA, and a heat gun to be ale to insert in the slit where the old rubber grip was, and mold it to the curved cover. In a flexible material would be more comfortable to use, but it works good enough for me as is.
