My wife wanted a bookshelf I made to be "front-facing". I had never heard of this concept, but apparently, it's a bookshelf where each shelf has a "rail". This allows books to be stored with their front covers visible instead of their spines. Perfect for this bookshelf since it holds colorful children's books. To achieve this, I thought of just making a fancy stand for the rail to sit on each shelf. Side note: I used one #4 1/2 inch screw in each rail to keep it from moving.
