Front Camera platform for Robo3D
thingiverse
This platform bolts directly onto the front or rear bed rail for the Robo3d. It utilizes existing mounting holes, and includes a hole that will accept a ¼ x 20 tripod screw. Virtually every camera and webcam can be secured with a standard tripod, so nearly all cameras are compatible. The screws holding this platform in place are M4. You should replace the existing M4 tensioning screw on the Y Axis belt with one that is ten millimeters longer. Instructions To start, print out the design using a minimum of three layers and 20% infill to create a sturdy foundation. This will help prevent any vibration or movement during use. After printing, remove the existing M4 tension block from the Y Axis rail. Then, replace it with a new screw that is ten millimeters longer, secured in the left mounting hole. Use a M4 x 15 or 16 mm screw and nut to affix it on the opposite side of the remaining mounting hole. Print this model upside-down. Support material is not required. IGES and STEP source files are provided for anyone interested in modifying the design.
