From Rectangle to Square
thingiverse
Why is a Square a Rectangle? Why is a square considered a rectangle? Formally, a square possesses all the characteristics of a rectangle; however, how could you explain it in a convincing way to a child? Here's a design inspired by classroom educators: Starting from a rectangle, we can create an infinite number of rectangles, arriving eventually at a square. Therefore, a square is a type of rectangle. In other words, a square is a stop in a dynamic progression of rectangles. Two versions are included. The inner square measures 50mm by 50mm. Version A can be separated smoothly; version B has a built-in groove and provides some resistance but can also be taken apart and reassembled.
