From Blade 230s to a Hughes 300

There are plenty of Scale kits available for the Blade 230s, which can be quite pricey but also incredibly detailed. On the other hand, simpler kits that won't break the bank are also an option. This is where 3D printing comes in - most parts can easily be made from PLA. Unfortunately, I'm limited by my ENDER 2's small bed, so I had to split up the skids. The high-stress components like rear boom struts are crafted from robust 2mm carbon fiber, and the tail rotor protection is reinforced with sturdy 2mm steel wire. As a result, compromises have to be made throughout - but I'm eager to take my heli for a spin now.
