Frog Pad

Frog Pad

thingiverse

My kid crafted a remarkable rock frog for Father's Day one year, but unfortunately, it doesn't sit upright very well and tends to topple over easily. Since she had signed her name at the bottom, I didn't want to obscure it with anything that would help it stay stable. This presented an excellent opportunity for me to purchase a 3D scanner. Using this device, I scanned the underside of the frog and converted it into a solid form that could be used as a tool to split another object in half. Next, I designed a lily pad leaf and carved out the impression of the bottom of the frog so it would sit flat on my desk.
