I have crafted a versatile ball and socket to pair seamlessly with the Standard Speed Linear Actuators, SKU: 1002-SSLA, available from Frightprops.com. This creation was specifically designed for a seance table prop, and it will convincingly levitate the table from the bottom middle, giving the illusion of a floating table. The ball features a 20mm - 0.79" hole that can be attached to either end of the actuator, along with a 6mm hole for secure fastening. The travel distance is approximately 12 degrees in any direction. Key dimensions include: Ball: 49mm in length 20mm diameter x 17mm deep hole Socket: Mounting flange: 86mm x 86 mm x 10 mm Ball socket: 62mm x 62mm x 40mm Overall height: 50mm To ensure a smooth assembly, light sanding (120 grit) was necessary. The total print time for both pieces was approximately 4 hours on LOW settings.
