Friendly Mousetrap Fully Printable Cage V9 All Parts One Print

Thanks Satoer for this mousetrap design! I haven't printed it yet, but this STL contains all the parts arranged on one print bed. It's scaled to fit 5 by 6 inches, optimized for printers that spit out a test print on the right margin of the print bed before beginning printing of the model - like my Da Vinci Jr. 1.0. Other than arrangement and scale, I haven't made any changes to the model itself. The author indicated that hinges may need some tweaking for it to come out good, so I've included a second file with support material added for the hinge bits to build on properly. The ones featured in his pics look pretty great! The longest piece is scaled to fit inside 6 inches, and all other parts are scaled down uniformly with it. They're arranged on the print bed so they should all fit neatly, scale up or down if you need to - though scaling up would be better, this is probably as small as you want to make it. If you have a larger building area than 6 cubic inches, feel free to scale up as much as needed. --Side Notes-- When printing with a Da Vinci Jr (maybe other models too?), just feed it to xyzWare and make sure the whole model is as far left on the print bed as possible. When xyzWare converts it to your printer's file type and displays the sliced model, you need to ensure that xyzWare draws this test pattern line. This allows the printer to wipe off excess material and prime the extruder on the right half inch of the bed before building. If you desire this but xyzWare didn't draw the line, you'll need to rescale it down more and re-render the slice - it needs to shrink a bit so the program thinks there's enough space to draw it. This is super important for successful and clean prints with this printer.
