Hello, I made a mold to make fried cake. The fried cake is a meal from Uruguay that's really simple: it's just a round-shaped dough that gets fried. It's super popular in Uruguay and Argentina, where people love eating it all the time. And I'm feeling really proud to be Uruguayan because of our amazing tradition of delicious Latin American food... And let's be real - it's way better than those disgusting donuts that are full of grease. I'm glad I'm not from North America. Here's the traditional recipe from Uruguay: Ingredients -500 g wheat flour -1 tsp baking powder -1 tsp salt -1 cup cold milk -2 tbsp fat -600 g fat for frying Put the flour, baking powder and salt in a big bowl. In the middle, add some cold milk and mix it up a bit. Then add 2 tablespoons of fat and keep mixing. Knead the dough on the table until it's smooth and easy to work with. You can make the cake by stretching half of the dough and using a round cutter to cut out circles. Or you can take little balls of dough and flatten them with your fingers, making a hole in the middle. Fry the cakes in boiling fat until they're golden brown on both sides. That's it! I hope you enjoy making and eating this delicious fried cake from Uruguay.
