Fridge soda holder extended for skinny cans
thingiverse
I recently purchased a soda can dispenser from Walmart, which you can find at https://www.walmart.com/ip/goodcook-PROfreshionals-Soda-Can-Dispenser/38772442. However, I also consume V8 Energy drinks, so I needed to create a custom holder for these larger cans. Initially, I designed the holder based on the ones that came with the dispenser, but I extended them to fit my needs. Unfortunately, these designs exceeded the build volume of my MonoPrice Mini delta 3D printer (110mm ø or 4.3' ø) and glass bed height, so I divided them in half to create male and female parts with threads. However, printing supports for these designs proved cumbersome, so I revised my approach. After several adjustments, I came up with a new design that is more efficient and easier to print. In the future, I may use the original holders from the dispenser unit and add an extension that snaps onto them, then screws in place for added security. To print this custom holder, you will need five parts: two castle screws, two female bars, and one M6 threaded rod. Unfortunately, the threaded rod can be temperamental and often breaks during assembly, so I recommend gluing it in place to ensure stability. If your 3D printer has a large build volume, you may be able to print this holder with only three parts by stacking them correctly in your slicer software.
