Our Fridge Door Closes Unnecessarily Often. To Inform Us Promptly When A Incorrectly Closed Door Exists Instead Of Discovering It Only After The Next Day, We Created An Open-Door Detector. A Bonus Feature That Accompanies The Initial Alert Is A BEEP Notifier Every Time You Make Your Selection Too Slow While The Door Remains Unlocked ;-). To Determine Whether Our Fridge Door Is Fully Shut Immediately And Efficiently, A Miniature Switch Takes Charge. Once Actuated On The Opening Of The Fridge Door It Enables The Entire Circuit Containing An Arduino-Based Microcontroller (ATmega328) Alongside With A Piezo Speaker That Makes Use Of Electricity When In Operation. Instead Of Employing A Complete Arduino Board, This Setup Simply Utilizes Atmega328P Integrated Circuit Located Directly Onto A Breadboard. Please Check Out Julian Ilett's Video For Detailed Information On Achieving The Same (But Note We Needed To Include An Additional 10 Kilohm Pull-Up Resistor At Pin One While Data Transfers Were Underway). Inside The "ArduinoToneMelody.ino" File Lies The Entire Code Implementation: As Soon As You Push Open Your Fridge Door, A Flashing LED Immediately Lights Up. With Each Passing Second It Evolves Gradually - Emitting A Single Tone After 10 Seconds, Two Separate Tones By 20 And Three Tones Consecutively By The End Of 30. Moving Forward, At 40-50 And Then Finally At 60 Seconds Marks Time For Repetitive Blasts Of Siren Sound - Taking Place Once Twice And Thrice Respective Of Set Parameters. By The Conjunction Of These Actions Following Right Behind Comes A Tiny Music Playlist Displaying After Exactly 70-80 And Last But Not Least At 90 Second Increments - Bringing This Specific Sequence To Full Circle Once More. Consult Attached Diagram Illustrating Various Used Component Materials If You'd Like Further Guidance On Setup. At Its Foundation Lies An Integrated Circuit, Atmega328P Picked Up With Built-In Bootloader Installed As Part Of A Simplified Setup Experience. Furthermore, For The Piezo Speaker Used In The Project We Repurposed One Taken Out Of Faulty Devices Nearby. Additionally Microswitch Serves Perfectly In Actuating All Processes Once Activated By Opening Fridge Door Ensuring Complete Power Dissipation While Fridge Remains Closed. Attached Is A Complete List Featuring OpenSCAD Files Included, Notably Including Battery-Box Design Of My Own Making - As Mentioned Prior In Description Given Above
