I have designed a custom spare part for my IKEA refrigerator's broken door guidance system using 3D printing technology. As it is impossible to purchase this component separately, I created my own solution by designing and fabricating two essential parts: the "rail" and the "cage". These components form a sophisticated sliding mechanism that controls the movement of both the front panel door and the refrigerator's main door. To set up this system, the rail is securely attached to the inside of the front panel door using screws. On the other hand, the cage - which will slide smoothly along the rail - is attached to the exterior of the refrigerator door through a screwing process. When you pull open or push shut the front panel door, it will concurrently move the main refrigerator door due to this clever synchronized system.\nHow I Created This The entire design was carefully crafted using Designspark Mechanical software and then brought to life with high-quality PLA filament on my GermanRepRap Neo 3D printer.
