To combat this issue, fence-posts have been created to clip onto these rails and keep items from falling out. Users can print as many as needed, allowing them to customize the spacing to suit their preferences. The parameters of the fence-post design are intended to fit standard shelf guardrails, which measure 8 mm thick and one inch tall on a typical Whirlpool refrigerator model. However, users should take measurements of their own fridge's guardrails to ensure they are compatible with the design and adjust the Customizer accordingly.
