Fridge Child Lock (Safety)
thingiverse
If you share the same refrigerator as me, there are two screws drilled into the door surface right between the upper freezer and lower refrigerator compartment. I'm convinced they're designed to let you reverse the direction your refrigerator swings from side to side. They're strategically mounted to enable adding a small flat panel with some cutouts to the side that allows you to insert a rope, secured by a knot on the end, to secure the fridge from curious toddlers. In the photos, you can see some scrap material used as a makeshift rope; however, I later acquired ~3mm paracord and discovered it works remarkably well too (and it looks much better too although once you start safety-proofing for kids, aesthetics become pretty low on the priority list after a year or two). (And yes, I notice a bit of cleaning is needed on the refrigerator door.)
