Frida Kahlo's four poster bed
myminifactory
As part of a collaborative project with Evavooo, I created the iconic "four poster bed" inspired by Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. A childhood accident forced her to spend most of her time in bed, where she used a mirrored baldachin to create her remarkable self-portraits. The project tells her life story through several key pieces: Frida doll and clothing Mexican chair Frida's pet Spider monkey Mexican hanging pendants The bed design is based on one of her famous paintings, "The Dream," which features an artistic interpretation of her bed. Composed of 11 support-free parts, it fits comfortably on any printbed and assembles easily with internal clip joints. It also includes pendent decorations: a Mexican skeleton, a monkey, and an angel that can be hooked to the roof surface. For detail enthusiasts, I added a Frida quote under the mattress and a collection of butterflies under the roof. This object is perfect for Frida Kahlo fans, miniature enthusiasts, doll collectors, or those who appreciate old-fashioned furniture. It was designed using Rhinoceros 3D and Zbrush.
