Necessity breeds innovation. I required assembling disparate components of a costume helmet, and the epoxy at my disposal was unable to bond my PLA fragments effectively. The notion struck me to employ a perforated sheet of PLA in conjunction with spot welds as a makeshift adhesive. This approach might not withstand rigorous testing but it offers a more permanent and rigid solution than duct tape, ideal for trial fittings without parts flapping loosely. Another benefit lies in its ability to be easily disassembled if necessary to adjust the fitting process.
