I'm creating this by welding 20 individual hexagons together using friction welding with my Dremel rotary tool. The hexagons are printed separately before being welded, allowing me full control over each piece. After printing the hexagons, I weld them together using a small section of filament and my Dremel rotary tool. The process works well with PLA, ABS, 1.75mm, and 3mm filament.
