Friction Welded Dodecahedron

Friction Welded Dodecahedron

thingiverse

This is an original dodecahedron brought into being by joining 12 identical pentagons through the use of friction welding, utilizing a method previously utilized on my truncated icosahedron post. These individual pentagons are printed individually, before being skillfully joined together using a rotary Dremel tool in combination with a thin strip of printer filament. This approach proves successful for PLA and ABS filaments as well as for 1.75mm and 3mm thick extrusions.
