The Open Fountain Pen instructions aren't super clear on the fact that it takes a pre- assembled nib unit, instead of just being able to stuff a friction fit nib and feed in there. This is a remix of the section (really, all I kept was the bottom 11mm) so you can do just that. Uses a No.6 *friction fit* nib & feed. NOT A NIB UNIT. Ideally, this will let it be used as a dropper pen, but I have a few concerns about a pen whose barrel will hold what looks like an entire fluid ounce of ink (don't ask me what that is in mL; I grew up in America and Metric-think is really weird). Probably best to use a pH neutral ink for this one. Acid inks will probably eat a hole straight thru it, given how some of the most el- cheapo ones can eat holes in tin foil. Ignore the white arrow in "how I designed this". It's due to it being kinda early in the morning and I wasn't remembering that the internal geometry is entirely custom. === Update 1 === Ok, so this geometry should actually work. The nib fit, but it was SUPER TIGHT. You'll have to push a fair bit to get it in. Writes fairly wet, but that's ok given how it holds something like five eyedroppers full of ink. === Update 2 === There's been some oozing issues. I'm trying to get everything set right for 100% infill and all gaps filled, but that resulted in a section that couldn't take a nib and feed. Still working on getting the tolerances right. === Update 3 === This section should work properly now, when printed at 100% infill (aka, solid). Took a few tries to get the tolerances right. Remember, this takes a #6 friction fit nib and feed, *not a nib unit*. There are no internal threads, so don't try screwing a nib unit in here. It will not work. Based on print tests, you want this slightly overextruded (along with the barrel, since you'll probably be using this as a dropper pen). This helps seal the layers better and prevents leaks. It will might also give you stringing issues.
