Friction experiment
grabcad
The original project in Autodesk Inventor 2014 features a dynamic simulation of an object affected by gravity force due to imposed rotation on an inclined surface. The experiment showcases that friction depends solely on the friction coefficient (µ = 0.3) for three identical steel boxes placed on different faces. All boxes move simultaneously as the plate with channels rotates around its hinge axis at a speed of 2 degrees per second. This is confirmed by an Output grapher diagram (Friction experiment - 1.jpg), demonstrating superimposed curves representing box speeds, and an Excel file (Friction experiment.xls) that displays associated data. Inventor users can access the .iam and .ipt files to modify settings within Dynamic simulation environments.
