SCENE INFORMATION The area measures 50 by 50 kilometers. This model uses data from the OpenStreetMap project. The scene was set up for use in 3ds Max and V-Ray Next. All images were rendered using V-Ray Next. While this asset can be used with older versions of V-Ray, results may vary due to differences in software capabilities. The preview images shown are actual render outputs. For measurements, the system unit is centimeters. This model was built on a real-world scale for added accuracy. Available export formats include the option to collapse mesh data. If you need further support, please don't hesitate to contact our team directly. DISCLAIMER This asset is optimized specifically for use in 3ds Max with V-Ray Next installed. All materials used are V-Ray materials. Lighting in the scene comes from V-Ray lights only. Keep in mind that some V-Ray material settings might not translate perfectly when exported into other formats. If you try to use this asset with different software or renderers, it may produce varying results. The artist who created this model does not support its use with alternate software and rendering solutions. GEOMETRY In this model, all objects are part of a collapsed stack. All items have unique names, and the model is organized using layers. Different categories like buildings, highways, railroad tracks, and water areas have been assigned to their respective layers. Please refer to the provided preview images for more information about layer structure and what areas were covered or excluded due to data limitations or restrictions imposed by OpenStreetMap import rules. Not all buildings in the area were included due to import issues with OpenStreetMap data. The model lacks height information, making it flat and two-dimensional. As per object properties, trees are displayed as boxes and have a total count of 478,320 polygons, which correspond to 251,118 vertices. They have not been unwrapped, but instead use the UVW Map Modifier to apply UVs. All elements in this scene reside on a V-Ray plane located at (0,0,0). However, this V-Ray plane will not be exported as part of the final asset file. MATERIALS This scene utilizes only V-Ray materials for added realism and optimization benefits. A separate zip-archive containing all material maps is available upon request. As it stands now, the model has no unwrapped meshes. Instead, UVWs are applied through a combination of built-in functions and UVW Map Modifier operations to efficiently distribute texture information across all elements without compromising quality or increasing data redundancy significantly enough for any discernible effects.
