The 1/1800th Scale Surcouf Submarine Model Features Uncut Details The French Navy's Unique Submarine, Surcouf, was a one-of-a-kind submarine built before World War II. Its primary armaments were not torpedoes but instead two massive eight-inch guns designed to engage enemy warships. Unfortunately, the Surcouf disappeared under mysterious circumstances in the Caribbean Sea, possibly due to friendly fire during an exercise or mission gone wrong. The loss of this innovative vessel remains a mystery. This scale model is specifically designed and thoroughly tested at 1/1800th scale dimensions. While it is technically feasible to create larger versions of this model, they will likely lack important details. Some compromises had to be made to accommodate the enlarged features, such as the barrel guns and mast being amplified to achieve proportionate balance. The 3D model represents a segment of my World War II collection showcasing maritime warfare technology. You can expect to see additional releases featuring a variety of ships. If you have a specific request or would like me to prioritize one of your models, simply send me a message and I will adjust my list accordingly. The test prints were conducted using PLA at .1mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle for precise results.
