The model initially started as a decorative component in my entry for the damixa design challenge, but I later opted to give it some further development. A fundamental French press has been paired with an integral heating element, making it possible to bring water to a boil for brewing coffee or tea directly from the device, eliminating the need for a separate electric kettle in the process, and maintaining the beverage at a comfortable temperature as well.
