French Press Handle and Base
thingiverse
I broke my Bodum French press handle and needed a new one that could easily be disassembled for cleaning. The old one snapped onto the carafe's flared top, wrapped around its bottom, and clipped onto the opposite side of the base before sliding into place at the bottom. It fit snugly but was easy to pry off when I wanted to remove it and the handle. Since this piece holds near-boiling water, I suggest using a high-temperature filament like PETG. I learned this the hard way with an earlier version that didn't have a clip on the handle's end to grab the base edge - it relied solely on friction, which ended in coffee all over my floor! If you want to make something similar, learn from my mistake and add that clip. The Bodum carafe measures 180mm tall and 96mm in diameter with a 1.4mm radius flare at its top. I've attached the Fusion360 file here for anyone who wants to adapt this design for their own use.
