Hey everyone, I ended up breaking my French press and instead of shelling out $20 on Amazon for a new one, I'm using a several hundred dollar machine and $5 worth of filament to make a fresh one. I'm not so sure about the math behind this decision, but here's a design for the cup part of the French press. Since I only do cold brew, I don't see any potential issues, but I wouldn't dare put hot liquid in there under any circumstances. I'd love your thoughts on this - am I right to be worried about bacterial buildup inside? Maybe a coat of primer and waterproof paint would help fix that problem for good.
