I aimed to contrast a metal and a PLA mouthpiece's tone while experimenting with brass instrument mouthpiece characteristics. I drew inspiration from the Neill Sanders Wide Rim 16D mouthpiece, which I've relied on since age 15. I retained the rim but adjusted the bore and cup sizes to produce more pronounced pressure. The outcome is a slightly less rounded tone, enhanced range, and reduced fatigue during extended play.
