French cleat Hex bit holder

French cleat Hex bit holder

I initially remixed Victoriahorse1's to save on filament if you take a look (thing 4738850) it is solid. I took out a lot of the inner of the triangle and after a print I found that pulling out bits were hard as the 'holes' were very close to the dimensions of the hex bits. I altered the design to loosen off the holes but used magnets ( 20 x 10 x 2mm) to keep bits secure (The magnets can be found on Amazon.co.uk - ASIN B07GVCKX3Z). I've included designs for strips that plug the holes the magnets slip in to however you can miss this out and just use a dab of super glue. There is little weight to this print so I've included a counter sunk hole so it can be screwed down. I have re-designed the bit holder so that you can have extra holes at the top for the bits without adding on extra levels. As an experiment I took away the support and there seems to be no reduction in strength, but you can replace it if you would like to, just load up the file on "https://app.sketchup.com/app". The Sketchup files are included for both versions so you can any of this to your own liking. Thanks to Victoriahorse1 for the original file !
