1/1800th scale Léopard Class Destroyer model. Certain critical elements not depicted in precise scale. The French Léopard class destroyers comprised six formidable vessels constructed for the French Navy during a period of tumultuous international relations. Five out of these sleek destroyers met their demise during World War II, while the last one was methodically decommissioned following the war. Notable among these tragic events is the sinking of the Milan by artillery shells fired from the USS Massachusetts off Casablanca's shores, marking the first U.S. engagement to employ 16-inch shells. Equipped with an arsenal that included five five and a half-inch guns and six torpedoes launchers along with lighter caliber artillery, the Léopard class represented cutting-edge naval firepower. This miniature marvel is part of my ever-growing collection of warships from WWII; stay tuned for more exciting additions in the coming days. If you have a specific model request, do not hesitate to message me, and I will give it top priority.
