Replacing Freewing SU-34 retracts with mini mechanical units offers a reliable solution. These replacements fit seamlessly into the hardware used by the original Freewing retracts. To fabricate new hardware, use 5mmx15mm tube or rod as the pivot shaft and 3mm wire for the landing gear strut. Secure the strut in place with an M4x6 mm grub screw, making sure to file a flat spot on the strut to prevent rotation. Assemble the retract housings using #0 or #1 screws.
