Freewing AL37 Nose Strut Brace
thingiverse
This is a nose wheel brace designed specifically for the Freewing AL37 model airplane. The part comes out of the printer as two distinct pieces, with the backplate engineered to absorb any impact across a broader surface area. To assemble the unit, simply glue the brace to the backplate and then secure the entire assembly into place. When aligning the top edge of the backplate (with the plane inverted), it should fit snugly against the seam in the foam, providing optimal clearance from the landing light. Double-check this alignment to ensure a proper fit. Additionally, there is a deliberate cutout on the underside of the brace for the steering tiller - be sure it doesn't get pinched or obstructed by the brace itself. When connecting the wire for the landing light, take care to route it in a way that avoids being pinched between the strut and the brace.
