Freewing A-4E/F Skyhawk Turbine Conversion - Tank
thingiverse
Fuel tank for the Freewing A-4E/F Skyhawk. Best printed in PETG walls for the initial and afterward epoxy-ed internally with thin finishing resin or diluted resin to ensure any gaps from printing are closed. Print settings I used: - 0.6mm Nozzle - First 10mm: 2 shells, 7 bottom/top layers, 0.1618mm layer height - 10mm to 224m: vase mode, 0.1618mm layer height - 244mm onwards: 2 shells, 7 bottom/top layers, 0.1618mm layer height The set includes mounting brackets which help hold the tank in place. You can glue/screw them to the fuselage and slot the tank in place afterward. The tank comes in 2 versions. - V2: Smaller fuel hole suitable for airpower aluminum fuel stopper inserts - V2_Intairco: Holes are dimensioned to fit Intairco fuel stoppers which are glued in place after the tank is internally epoxied. Note: due to the shape of the fuselage and the size of the fuel tank you will need to open the bottom of the fuselage up, install the tank and glue the bottom of the fuselage back together again.
