This attachment enables you to secure an LED bulb at the aft end of a Freewing 90mm outrunner EDF unit, which is part of the Freewing 6 cell F-4 Phantom. To create it, refer to the instructions on RCGroups in the "Making an inexpensive EDF centerburner" forum. First, remove the rear motor streamlined cone and drill four cooling holes to facilitate hot air escape. This 3D printed piece fits snugly into the exhaust hole of the fairing. I start by inserting it, then use a block of wood and hammer to secure it firmly in place. Additionally, I apply a few drops of C/A glue to prevent it from coming loose. You will also need to reduce the width of the LED bulb where the electrical pins are located so that it fits inside this mount. The bulb is available on Amazon, and the forum provides instructions on how to connect everything. The total cost for the parts is less than $20. I have also lined the jet exhaust tubes with A/C metal duct tape, removing the peel-off backing first. To shape the tape, I rolled it around a dowel, then carefully applied it. For smoothing and securing the tape in place, I used a broom handle wrapped with a sock. This modification also fits the 90mm 6 cell Freewing F-18, which I believe uses the same fan.
