Freestanding modular shelf system for lightweight items

# About This is a modular, lightweight shelving system I designed and printed for my home office. It is designed to be placed flush up against a wall. I've gone two shelves high without any fixing to the wall however you could go significantly higher with the addition of a 90 degree part which you bolt onto the frame and either stick or drill onto the wall to provide support when it gets top heavy. I don't know the maximum load each shelf can carry so use your own judgement as to how much weight you put on them. # Construction Depending on what configuration you use, it will define which length of bolts you need, everything else is pretty much the same. There are only two bolt lengths to choose from. ### Bottom Shelves The bottom of the first shelf layer always needs: * 2 x Feet (left and right) * 2 x Bolts (short bolt) ### Single Layer vs Multilayer Shelves (Height) The top layer (the shelf itself) requires two bolts. If it is the final/top layer, two short bolts are used so that the bolts site flush against the shelf surface. If additional shelves are to be added, use the long bolts so there is something for the next layer to attach to. ### Single Layer vs Multilayer Shelves (Width) Each shelf can be bolted to the adjacent shelf through the two vertical holes along the back to provide additional strength.
