This versatile filament spool holder is designed to accommodate most spools measuring no more than 87mm wide. Thoroughly tested with top brands including MakerGeeks, FilamentOutlet, 3D Solutech, Hatchbox, and Sainsmart. Based on the sleek 140mm height design of the popular Filament Duck Spool Holder, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:187987, a remix of the original at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:143424, this spool holder features a clean and streamlined appearance. However, due to its design, it will not support most of the user's standard-sized spools. The axle and cylinder are inspired by another freestanding filament spool holder located here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:634588. While the entire holder proved too flimsy to maintain structural integrity even with an abundance of super glue, the axle section has proven a successful addition to this design. Print the spool holder upright and attach the axle vertically without needing any additional support. A 56-piece pack of FastCap Traction Dots measuring 9/16 inches in diameter is recommended for use in the indents at the bottom of the holder, providing superior grip.
