Free-Standing Violin Stand

Free-Standing Violin Stand

thingiverse

I crafted a functional Hovalin violin, but now it needed a sturdy base to stand proudly on. Since achieving this feat was no small accomplishment, I wanted to showcase my creation in all its glory. I scoured Thingiverse for suitable stands, yet every design seemed flawed and most demanded additional support material. Determined to find a solution, I designed a custom violin stand that would cradle the Hovalin securely without requiring any extra supports. Furthermore, I made sure there was ample space between the feet to accommodate a chin rest, providing a comfortable resting place for the musician's neck. Feel free to offer your thoughts on the OpenSCAD code – I'm confident that others can find even better ways to tackle this problem.
