Free standing filament spool holder by Williegoat1I designed this around a piece of 5/16” all-thread and common 608 ball bearings. You will need:1 – 6” to 6.5” length of 5/16” all-thread2 – 608 bearings2 – 5/16” hex nuts2 – 5/16” flat washersPrint (PLA):1 – roller1 – spacer2 – inner flange2 – outer flange2 – handlePrint (TPU):2 – sleeve2 – end plugPrint the roller standing up, it will need supports. If you print the handles with the outer end down, you should not need supports. The bores for the bearings in the roller might need some very light sanding to fit the bearings. The spacer goes inside the roller, between the bearings to keep the inner races from being forced inward when you tighten the handles down. I cut a small slot for a screw driver in each end of the all-thread to ease assembly. I have included two images to illustrate the order of assembly.
