The Fredricks site, located at 31Or231, is a historic location dating back to AD 1700 in Orange County, North Carolina. A ceramic piece of particular interest was discovered there. Measuring 240.0 mm in length and 178.0 mm in width, the check stamped jar rim is remarkably thin, with a thickness of just 5.1 mm. This artifact has been cataloged as no. 2378p619 (Vessel 31) within the North Carolina Archaeological Collection, housed at the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
