Freak Bored Barrel Lock

I'm fabricating a custom piece for my gear, a barrel bored out to accommodate an eccentric insert, but I'm not thrilled about how it keeps sliding out during storage. It's just a straightforward autococker threaded cap that should keep the insert securely in place. Still experimenting with it, I might need to enlarge it slightly because it fits a bit too tightly.
