These snap-on covers are designed for the SDS Mk4i swerve modules for FRC Robotics competitions. They accommodate a 12 volt, 40mm muffin fan with accompanying filter material. The muffin fan should be mounted to blow filtered air INTO the swerve unit to help keep debris out of the swerve unit and in particular, the x-contact bearing. Please note, we purchased snap-on filters for our 40mm muffin fans on Amazon rather than making our own filters. Our team cut the top cover from polycarbonate to allow visual inspection of the swerve unit and we mount it with double-stick tape. The Inner and Outer covers simply snap onto the swerve unit. It should be noted that these covers also allow for frame material, typically 2"x1" aluminum extrusion, to be "top" or "bottom" mounted on the SDS main plate.
