This is the second in the line of 3D printed Swerve Drives designed by team 6635. This swerve drive shares many common components and features with our V1 swerve drive. The main difference between the two is that this swerve drive is intended to fix the problem with ground clearance that was present in our last design. This was done by flipping the steering and drive motors to the top of the module, and adding a second mounting plate. This module requires more manufacturing and takes up more space than V1, but would allow for much better terrain navigation. It is worth noting that the chain and sprocket inside of the pivot module could easily be replaced by a 30 tooth and 50 tooth gear set. This design has undergone preliminary testing, but we have not created a full robot using this design.
