FRC Sensor Cases for Adafruit IR Break Beam Sensors [5mm LEDs]
thingiverse
These are sensor cases I designed for my team, Team Mercury 1089, and our FRC 2022 robot, Double-cross. These cases are meant to be used with the Adafruit IR Break Beam Sensors with 5mm LEDs (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2168). To use it, place a sensor on the base half (with the wire facing to the open end), slide the top half into place, then secure it with screws through the holed flanges and to the desire mounting surface. For this year's FRC challenge, Rapid React, we used beam break sensors in our robot to detect if and how many cargo balls were stored in our feeder. I designed this to fit the specific needs of our robot, but also included .STEP file templates.
